Digital display specialist UX Global celebrates 40 years in business

Leeds-based digital display specialist UX Global is celebrating 40 years in business. Established in 1983 as a company called Unicam selling car audio systems, UX Global’s expert team of certified industry experts now designs, manufactures, installs, and maintains cutting-edge digital-out-of-home signage and display solutions in the retail, hospitality, leisure, corporate and construction sectors.

The company’s key to longevity is evolving with the latest innovations. It’s latest projects for national retailers Currys and Footasylum have included use of robots on the shopfloor and the first installation of Philips’ new P3.1 high bright 7000 Series large format LED screen on a UK high street. They are also responsible for the iconic outdoor LED displays and signage at Leeds Playhouse.

UX Global’s solutions, which include digital wayfinding signage, LED screens, media walls, interactive retail kiosks, electronic shelf labels, and video conferencing facilities, come with built-in AV and content management systems and bespoke joinery of frames and surrounds. They enable retailers, developers, architects, specifiers, ad agencies, and others to create memorable and engaging customer and employee experiences in settings including theatres, gyms, car showrooms, fashion shoe shops, co-working office spaces, and new-build developments.

At its 14,000 sq. ft. head office showroom in Horsforth, UX Global clients can get inspiration for their upcoming projects by experiencing the latest innovations in immersive digital media displays from touchless sensor mirrors, to interactive tables and fridges.

Alistair Wright, Managing Director at UX Global says:

“Reaching the 40 year milestone is something we are very proud of as a business, especially during such turbulent times over the last few years. We are truly passionate about the power and benefits of digital media display solutions from a commercial, environmental, and social perspective, and are always looking for new and innovative ways to bring our clients’ ideas to life in a way that can rapidly evolve with them. With all the exciting developments happening in our industry, we’re confident that UX Global will still be going strong in another 40 years.”

UX Global client Ainsley Sykes of Currys, adds:

“UX Global is our digital display partner of choice because they are well-established in terms of experience, capability, installations and service, but also forward-thinking in their project design approach. They will ensure that any digital solution has a purpose and advantage for the customer, can make any idea come to life and they always challenge us to ‘build in’ interactive and digital display technology from the beginning of a project to save time and money while focusing on maximising its impact. Their solutions are flexible enough to stand the test of time, designed to be easily adaptable for new future product models and innovative enough to create a real wow factor in customer engagement. Congratulations to the team on their 40th anniversary.”
