FOOTASYLUM METRO CENTRE
The client
Established in 2005, Footasylum is one of the UK’s leading retailers of fashion streetwear and sportswear. Renowned for featuring new and upcoming brands, they’ve got their finger firmly on the pulse of the street and sports fashion scene, claiming to ‘defy ordinary’.
Footasylum continuously challenges the digital display team at UX Global to engage and inspire its young, trend-conscious customers with retail innovations that create memorable and immersive in-store experiences. The Metro Centre project where the streetwear retailer increased its presence by 25% at the Gateshead shopping complex was no different.
The challenge
Footasylum was looking for a fully flexible digital display system throughout its retail store network that could be easily updated from anywhere with the capability to include curated social media feeds and high-quality synchronised HD video streams.
They were also looking for a large format LED display in the window to capture attention in the busy environment. Inside the LED needed to bring to life, signpost to and maximise the brand’s on offer in a way that maximised space and the design and layout of the store.
The project timeline was tight with LED solutions being installed within just one week so that trading and the smooth running of the store launch was unaffected.
Our solution
Our digital display team designed and installed a number of LED solutions and there are screens of all shapes and sizes at every turn, including a 6m x 3m high bright transparent LED in the window, two columns featuring 2m x 3m transparent LED, a 4m wide cash desk ticker, multiple wardrobe screens throughout the store, footwear screens, and a whole host of other digital display solutions.
We again partnered with Now Signage on the content management system for all displays.
