Founded as a single store in 1982, Frasers Group plc/Sports Direct is today the UK’s largest sporting goods retailer by revenue. In 2020, the Sports Direct portfolio included 769 locations throughout the UK.
As part of a new rollout for Sports Direct, we were asked to design and install a digital display in the window of the busy Middlesbrough storefront incorporating a custom-sized, video wall. The main issue in this location was the amount of ambient light each day that was effecting previous window displays. We had to ensure that the light didn’t affect the new displays enabling constant viewing whilst keeping within a budget.
We implemented a 4×3 Video Wall in the Middlesbrough store, which comprises of multiple 55” LED-backlit, high bright display panels. The high-bright panels are essential to the positioning of the video walls, designed to ensure a premium quality display in harsh and varied lighting conditions. We also installed a black matte vinyl surround behind each display to enhance the colour definition on-screen, showcasing the featured content to the highest standard as well as creating a sleek finish.
An extremely striking, high-bright video wall, maximising customer engagement, attracting passing trade and enticing customers in-store. Content can be seamlessly changed to showcase a diverse, relevant and brand-appropriate feed.
