UX Global looks back at 2022 highlights

2022 has been another busy year for UX Global and as we prepare for 2023, where we have a huge milestone to celebrate, we wanted to look back at some of our key achievements, standout projects, emerging trends and proud moments from across this year.

Leading with quality

Back in April, with the support of Sandy Domingos-Shipley of The Systems Link, we achieved ISO9001 certification, allowing us to demonstrate to our customers and stakeholders our commitment, as a trusted supplier, to quality products and service. Sandy says:

“It’s not common to work with an organisation where ALL the staff from top to bottom are totally engaged in and curious about quality management but the team at UX Global from the MD and HR to the workshop staff embraced ISO as not just a ‘tick box’ but a way of working to make best practice the standard. This gives their retail, hospitality, construction and corporate clients the assurance that when they recommend, design, manufacture, install and manage a digital signage solution, it has a clear purpose and outcome and is never just ‘new technology for new technology’s sake’. Having been back to UX Global on my quarterly visits, I can see that the team is committed to continuous improvement, capturing and sharing learnings and best practice with clients and delivering the best possible quality results.”

Solutions for sports brands

We’ve worked with some fresh, innovative and exciting sports brands this year including newcomer HUKD Golf, a virtual golf experience based in Bury. We were commissioned by HUKD to specify and install digital signage in its new state-of-the-art premises featuring cutting edge simulators, developed for golfers of all levels to be able to play a magnitude of golf courses. If golf is your thing, why not give them a visit in 2023 and see our digital displays in action!

The rise of interactive kiosks

As well as providing digital display solutions, within our customers retail, hospitality, corporate and leisure premises, we also design, manufacture and instal standalone retail kiosks to allow our customers to create ‘pop up’ retail environments in high traffic areas. We loved working with leading watch and jewellery repair specialists, In-Time to install six custom-built kiosks within John Lewis stores this year, enabling them to carry out their watch and jewellery services on the spot. It is reported that the global interactive kiosk market will grow in 2023 and over the next four years by around 30% and we are looking forward to designing, manufacturing and installing more kiosks for our customers in the New Year.

Hitting the headlines with industry firsts

UX Global hit the trade press headlines this year for completing the UK’s first  installation of the brand new Philips P3.1 high bright 7000 Series LED screen technology for longstanding retail client Footasylum. The 3.5m x 3.75m large format LED digital display screen was installed on the High Street-facing wall of its newly refurbished Cabot Circus store in Bristol. Coverage of the story appeared in Prolific North and a number of retail and technology trade publications.

Digital display for supermarket PODS

After working on Car Store’s digital showroom they reached out needing double sided advertising displays for mobile PODS, situated in Morrisons stores across the country so we stepped in again and delivered what they needed. Like kiosks, sales PODS are becoming more popular as a ‘pop up’, mobile solution and we can maximise their visibility through clever and innovative digital display solutions.

Innovation for office environments

This year has been a crucial time for businesses attracting their workforces back to the office after the pandemic saw a huge rise in working from home. Creating inspirational office environments is what we do and we couldn’t wait to get stuck in on 8 Park Row when it underwent extensive refurbishment this year, providing Grade A offices in the heart of Leeds City Centre. We enabled all AV installation including LED and video conferencing to ensure that ‘in office’, hybrid and remote working could all be seamlessly facilitated with top rated, reliable technology.

New innovations for 2023

We recently shared some exciting futuristic innovations and emerging technologies that we will be introducing into our projects and offering in 2023, including the amazing  W’ 3D LED innovation, from one of our manufacturers

LianTronics, actual robots from PUDU Robotics and holograms from PORTL technology!

In 2023 we will also celebrate 40 years in business. We are so proud of our heritage and our team, many of whom have been with us for decades, including Nick Metcalf, Steve Smales, Sergio Greco and Nigel Gilbert who have all worked with us for 100+ years collectively!

For now we’d like to thank our customers for their support in 2022 and we look forward to continuing to innovate with you in 2023.

Happy Christmas and New Year from the UX Global team!
